In multi-player games over the internet, it is vital that you chose the right civilization. This is because certain Civilizations have certain things that they can and can not do. Personally for multiplayer games i suggest that you use either the Assyrian or the Yamato. This is because their villagers work 30% faster. So they can get resources for you quicker apart from this I just find them the easiest to use.

Attributes:

Assyrian:
+ 40% Archery Range unit fire rate, Villagers are 30% faster

Babylonian:
Double Wall and Tower HP, + 30% Priest rejuvenation rate and + 30% stone mining.

Choson:
+ 80 HP to Long Swordsman and Legion, +2 Tower range and - 30 Priest cost.

Egyptian:
+ 20% gold mining, + 33% Chariot and Archer HP and + 3 Priest range.

Greek:
Hoplite, Phalanx and Centurion are 30% faster and war Ships are 30% faster.

Hittie:
Double Stone Thrower,Catapult and Heavy Catapult HP, + 1 Archer range unit attack and + 4 war ship range.

Minoan:
- 30% ship cost, + 2 Composite Bowman range and + 25% Farm production.

Persian:
+ 30% hunting, - 30% Farm production, War and Archer Elephants 50% faster and + 50% Trieme fire rate.

Phoenician:
- 25% War and Archer Elephant cost and + 65% Catapult Trieme and Juggernaught fire rate.

Shang:
- 30% Villager cost and double Wall HP.

Sumerian:
+ 15 Villager HP, + 50% Stone Thrower, Catapult and Heavy Catapult fire rate and double Farm production.

Yamato:
- 25% to any Cavelry cost. Archers, Scouts etc, Villagers 30% faster and + 30% ship HP.
